Nintendo has announced that an hour-long Nintendo Direct will take place tomorrow at 11pm AEST.
That’s right, we’ve got a full 60 minutes of Nintendo to look forward to in the form of a Direct tomorrow evening. Posting to its Nintendo Today app and all other social channels, Nintendo confirmed that the presentation will be a lengthy one that focuses on “upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.”
Okay, there’s not much to go on, but there are two key points to consider, especially given the timing of this Direct. Firstly, we still don’t have a date for Metroid Prime 4, and it feels like we’re about due. Secondly, on September 13, Mario will celebrate his 40th anniversary, meaning that this Direct will fall exactly one day before the plumber leaves his thirties. While Nintendo has a…checkered past when it comes to giving anniversaries their due attention, Mario is at the top of the gaming mountain, so you would think some considerations would be made for an occasion like this.
Join us on Friday, 12th September, at 11:00pm AEST for a #NintendoDirect! Tune in for roughly 60 minutes of information on upcoming #NintendoSwitch2 and #NintendoSwitch games.
