Its been presentation central this week and thankfully the Wholesome Games Direct has returned for our yearly dose of wholesome, cute and inclusive games. Here is a recap of all the games shown off today.
Terra Nil
Terra Nil is a nature/environment strategy game where you revitalize the land into a paradise and increase biodiversity. There is no release window, but it will be coming to PC.
Little Bear Chef
In Little Bear Chef, you’re a little bottle of honey that is shaped like a bear, dealing with a very big kitchen within this cute kitchen sim. Coming to PC and consoles in 2023.
Melodyssey
In Melodyssey, you are a child journeying through a musical landscape for inspiration, solving puzzles whilst enjoying some chill vibes. Coming to PC in 2023, with a free demo out now.
LumbearJack
Save the environment and stop human developments by Evil Works with an axe-wielding bear in LumbearJack. Releasing Xbox, Switch and PC on June 14.
The Garden Path
Seen in last year’s Wholesome Direct, The Garden Path is a slice of life sim about the joys of gardening. Releasing later this year on Switch and PC/Mac.
Mika and the Witch’s Mountain
Carry packages and find secrets in Mika and the Witch’s Mountain as you zoom around on your broom. Releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2022.
30 Birds
In 30 Birds you have to help Zig find birds within a hand-painted city that mixes 2D and 3D in an interesting way. We don’t have a release date, but it is set to launch on PC.
Mail Time
In Mail Time, you are a cute mushroom-wearing girl who delivers mail in a cottagecore adventure within a peaceful forest. Coming to PC in Q4 2022.
Usagi Shima
Decorate an island and becomes friends with a variety of bunnies in the adorable Usagi Shima. Coming to iOS and Android in 2022 and PC in 2023.
A Walk With Yiayia
A Walk With Yiayia is a light adventure game about taking your Greek grandma for walks. Releasing on Switch and PC on August 20.
Chicken Journey
Play as a adorable chicken within Chicken Journey, a vibrant pixel platformer. Releasing on Switch and PC in Q4 2022.
Puffpals: Island Skies
Puffpals: Island Skies is an adorable farming/life sim with cute chibby characters that just had a successful Kickstarter. Coming to Switch and PC in 2023.
Freeride
Freeride is an RPG that’s secretly a personality test. You’re not judged on your choices but they do have an impact. There’s no release date, but we know it’s coming to PC.
How To Say Goodbye
Also seen in the Day of the Devs, How To Say Goodbye see your helping ghosts navigate a puzzle filled world so they can say their last goodbyes. Coming to PC in 2022.
Calico
Calico is getting a Pawsome update that adds a cooking aspect to the game. Also New farm animals to collect. Releasing on PS4, Switch and PC in Winter 2022.
Paper Animal PPG
Find the missing king in a pixel-styled Paper Mario on board-game-sized maps in Paper Animal RPG. Coming to PC in Winter 2022.
Fall of Porcupine
Follow a young doctor in a small town and an old hospital in Fall of Porcupine. This game has amazing art and will be releasing on PC in December 2022.
The Last Clockwinder
The Last Clockwinder is a VR puzzle game where you need to repair the clock tower inside a giant tree. Out now on PC.
Lovebirb
In Lovebirb you play a heartbroken bird who’s trying to get back into the dating scene. Flirt to the music if you can. Coming to PC in 2022.
Spirit Swap
Spirit Swap is a lofi match three puzzle game about friends and figuring out why spirts keep popping up in your town. Coming to PC in 2022.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly
New drinks, characters and more are coming in the sequel to Coffee Talk, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2023.
Oddada
Oddada is a unique music game where placing objects in different ways helps you make unique tunes. There’s no release information yet, but it will be coming to PC.
Frogun
In Frogun, your best friend is a frog and a gun. Explore and escape the mysterious ruins in this platformer. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2022.
Garden Witch Life
Grow a garden for your potions and spells in a chill and vibrant game titled Garden Witch Life. We don’t have release information yet, but we do know that it’s coming to PC.
Princess Farmer
Princess Farmer is getting a free update. The first episode launches for free on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC this winter.
Ooblets
We got a new gameplay trailer for Ooblets. It’s set to leave early access this summer on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Bubblegum Galaxy
From the makers of Teacup, Bubblegum Galaxy is a planet-building, tile-matching game where you need to rebuild the galaxy after things go just a bit wrong. Coming to consoles and PC in 2023.
Here Comes Niko
Here Comes Niko is receiving free DLC that includes Gary’s garden. Coming to Switch and PC soon.
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a cozy adventure game with music, mischief and of course moomins. Releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023.
Feed All Monsters
Feed All Monsters is a line puzzle game where you have to bring tasty food to all the monsters. Find the optimal solution so all monsters get fed.
SkateBIRD
Among Us is being added to SkateBIRD today, enough said.
Paper Trail
Paper Trail is a top-down puzzle game set in a paper world where you can move, fold and tear your way through a diverse and populated world. Coming to PC in 2023.
Soulitaire
Soulitaire is a rogue-like story game where you can get a glimpse of the story through solitaire. You have to figure out the card’s meaning and what future they foretell. No release date just yet, but it will be coming to PC.
Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist
In Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist, you are a struggling artist who draws art to sell to critics in order to reclaim your lost art career. We don’t know when it will release, but it’s coming to PC.
A Frog’s Tale
A Frog’s Tale is a pixel RPG with rhythm elements, interesting combat and cute vibes. The game is set to release on PC in 2023 and is currently on Kickstarter.
Freshly Frosted
Freshly Frosted has you solving puzzles in the world’s most adorable donut factory. Out today on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim
Colossal kaiju aren’t killers, but they are fighting to find love in Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating Sim. Coming to PC in 2022.
Wholesome – Out and About
Wholesome – Out and About is a cottage-core life sim about cooking, foraging and crafting. Learn real-life mushroom and plant identification and cook dishes and remedies you can sell at a local farmers market. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023.
Paradise Marsh
Paradise Marsh got a new trailer and a demo that’s available on Steam right now. Coming soon to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Gaucho and the Grassland
In Gaucho and the Grassland rebuild your family ranch and experience the Gaucho culture. Coming to PC in Q4 2022.
Lil Gator Game
In Lil Gator Game, you’re a cute crocodile making a game and you video your animal friends’ lives. Coming to Switch and PC in 2022.
We Are OFK
We Are OFK is getting a free demo on PS5, PS4, Switch and PC on June 13.
Potion Permit
In Potion Permit you need to diagnose conditions and make potions in this open-ended sim. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2022.
Pixelshire
In Pixelshire, play at your own pace as you gather resources, make your perfect home and help your friends build a community. No release date, but it’s coming to PC.
SCHiM
Making another appearance after Day of the Devs, in SCHiM you reunite a shadow creature with its human or item counterpart in this creative platformer. We don’t have a date, but it’s coming to PC.
Pekoe
Pekoe is set in a town full of cats where you run a teahouse. Create your own space and enjoy cosy vibes. Coming to PC in 2023.
Bilkins’ Folly
In Bilkins’ Folly find your family members lost among a series of fictional Caribbean islands. Get a boat, a dog and crew and figure out the true meaning of family. No release date, but it’s coming to PC.
Kitori Academy
Kitori Academy is a 3D magic RPG where you train as a witch or wizard with lots of colourful visuals. No release date info to be seen, but it’s coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Togges
In Togges you fill the world with blocks and clean up the mess in this vibrant 3D platforming adventure game where you’re effectively a Roomba. Another game without a release date, but it’s coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Tracks of Thought
In Tracks of Thought, you’re on a train full of interesting individuals. You can buy snacks, shape the game with your conversational choices and embrace yourself. The gaming is coming to PC “soon” and currently has a free demo on Steam right now.
DokiToki: Time Slows Down When You’re In Love
In DokiToki: Time Slows Down When You’re In Love, you control time with the power of love as you progress through high school, and complete puzzles to find your love interest. No release date, but it will be coming to PC.
Critter Crops
In Critter Crops you restore the world in this 100% hand-drawn halloween farming sim, with crops that are actually critters. Coming soon to PC.
Toroa
In Toroa, you fly around as an albatross in this realistic and lively sim. No release date was given, but it will be coming to PC.
The Spirit and the Mouse
Find collectibles and listen to villagers in trouble around town as a cute mouse in The Spirit and the Mouse. The game is coming to Switch and PC in 2022, with a demo out now.
Snacko
Snacko is a cute farming/life sim pixel game where you’re a cat. Coming to PS5. PS5, PS4, Switch and PC in 2022.
A Little to the Left
Also from the Day of the Devs, A Little to the Left is a organisation puzzle game that’s coming to Switch and PC later in 2022.
Kokopa’s Atlas
Kokopa’s Atlas is a procedurally-generated farm and adventure game on an unknown planet that was previously seen on Kickstarter. Coming soon to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
The Wandering Village
The Wandering Village is a city-building simulation game that takes place on the back of a giant creature in a toxic world. Coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2022.
Lonesome Village
The Lonesome Village is a Zelda-esque puzzle game with Animal Crossing-like characters. Coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in Spring 2022.
