Xbox has announced that a Developer_Direct showcase will take place on January 23 at 4am AEDT.
As detailed on Xbox Wire, the next Developer_Direct showcase will spotlight three upcoming titles and the creatives behind them. Making it a bit of a two-for-one special, Playground Games will be showing off the perpetually delayed Fable, as well as the recently announced Forza Horizon 6, two games that have about as much in common as a frog and a hot air balloon.
Rounding out the showcase will be Game Freak, which will detail its upcoming action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation. Something of a detour for the Japanese studio, most well-known for developing Pokémon games, Beast of Reincarnation is a slick-looking action RPG that features fast combat and a canine companion, so I’m certainly interested to see more. The game was properly revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, so it makes sense that we’re seeing it again during a Developer_Direct.
