Apex Legends Season 15 – Eclipse Introduces A New Map, Gifting And New Cosmetic Options

That’s no moon, that’s new content

Respawn Entertainment has revealed several details regarding Apex Legends Season 15 – Eclipse, including the new map, gifting system and new cosmetic options.

As always, there’ll be plenty of eyes on Catalyst, the new Legend being added to the game, but that’s not all Season 15 has to offer. Season 14 brought with it changes to the beloved Kings Canyon map, but Eclipse will be doing one better by introducing a brand new arena. Broken Moon will be Apex’s fifth map, bringing with it plenty of new and exciting gameplay options and lore.

Tying into the lives of Catalyst and Seer, the new map is set on Cleo, the moon orbiting the planet Boreas and it’s equal parts broken and beautiful, having been terraformed and then brought into the Apex Games as part of a deal with the Syndicate. Similar in size to World’s Edge, Broken Moon brings with it a number of new gameplay opportunities and exciting points of interest that should have Apex fans keen to drop in.

Similar to zip lines dotted throughout the other maps, Broken Moon will feature zip rails that will act as connectors between many of the map’s POIs. These rails offer a way to get around and should also allow teams to quickly get between the fringes of the map easier, helping with early game exploration.

A large map, Broken Moon will feature a bunch of POIs that’ll undoubtedly be home to viscous firefights and tense moments. From the towering Terraformer, sprawling Status Net Array, cyclical Perpetual Core and serene Bionomics right through to the treacherous walkways of The Divide, Broken Moon has interesting and varied battlegrounds no matter where your team lands.

Outside of the new map, Eclipse will also be adding the gifting feature, allowing players to purchase bundles and cosmetic items to send to their friends. There will be certain restrictions on what items you can gift and how often you can send gifts, but this is a cool way of rewarding great team play or just being generous and shouting your mates a skin.

And speaking of cosmetics, Eclipse will also be introducing stickers. Stickers are cosmetic items that can be attached to all healing items, giving Shield Cells, Med Kits and Phoenix Kits an added bit of personal flair.
