Bloodborne

Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive title developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released on March 24, 2015 and was nominated by thegameawards.com for Game of the Year; losing out to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Bloodborne is set in the fictional gothic city of Yharnam where the inhabitants (known as Yharnamites) were afflicted by an abnormal blood-borne disease. Finding themselves in the middle of the city during the night of “The Hunt”, the hunter (the player) initially sets out to find something known as “paleblood” for reasons unknown. As you hunt down beast after beast, you discover that you are actually stuck inside a dream, and your new directive is to escape the nightmare world of Yharnam and return to the ‘real world’, referred to as the “Waking World”.
