Berserk is a long running manga, enjoying an original run starting all the way back in 1989 – and is set in a medieval Europe–inspired dark fantasy world. The story focuses on Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the “Band of the Hawk”. Illustrated by Kentaro Miura, the dark visuals within the Manga seem a perfect fit for the dark and malevolent setting of Diablo IV.
The teaser trailer is a gorgeous hand-drawn thing, with a Guts-like barbarian cleaving through hordes of Fallen – enormous two handed sword doing exactly what you’d imagine. Hopefully this will be realised as some killer additions in Diablo IV’s newest season, as the full scope of the collaboration hasn’t been detailed – but perhaps we can crib some notes from how Overwatch 2 realises their collaborations, as they usually drop some killer free and paid cosmetics that are faithful to the guest property.
