Leaks, teases and reveals are a normal part of modern gaming news – but it isn’t often you encounter a possible leak of a game coming to a new platform, FROM a different platform altogether.
This magnificent twist comes in the form of a Red Dead Redemption PC version being mentioned on the PlayStation Network listing for the game. Yeah, you read that right – the PlayStation store description of Red Dead Redemption talk about how you can now play the game on the PC for the first time ever.
Under the ‘Game and Legal Info’ portion of the listing, it’s printed clear as day:
Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation — now on PC for the first time ever.
And then further down, in case there was any thought to this being a whacky mistake:
…plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.*
As of now, the wording is still present on the listing – so if it was a mistake, it is yet to be amended.

To say that a PC release of Red Dead Redemption is desired feels like an understatement. Known colloquially as Grand Theft Horse, the game is well regarded by all as a spiffing example of cowboy fantasy – especially when paired with the expansion content for Undead Nightmare. Having already been re-released on a few modern platforms, the idea of a native PC version hardly feels like a stretch.
Then when you factor in the insane reception to Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s not really a surprise that people are hungry for the first chapter in whatever form best suits – especially when you factor in that RDR2 already has a native PC release. So, it’s about damn time.
Just a weird way to find out about it, y’know?
