Not long after this morning’s PS5 showcase, EB Games (and other retailers) opened up pre-orders for the PS5. As expected, they’ve not lasted long, with EB Games’ confirming that both the standard and digital version of the PS5 have had both their allocation for launch day and post-launch (but still 2020 delivery) consoles exhausted. They are now taking orders for consoles that are due to be available in 2021. According to Press Start’s Shannon Grixti, EB Games only had 75k units available for launch day orders.
UPDATE: PlayStation 5 POST LAUNCH consoles presold out.

When it comes to other retailers, all of JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Amazon Australia, The Gamesmen, Target, Big W and Sony’s official online store have sold out. There’s no word as of yet whether any of these retailers will have more 2020 stock.
