Everything Announced At The February 2026 PlayStation State Of Play

The only Friday meeting I care about

There’s always a level of excitement and intrigue around these showcases. No matter how much context is thrown at us, no matter how ardently the organisers tell us there “won’t be any big surprises,” we always speculate and watch, just in case. With that said, it’s hard to temper your expectations when presented with a showcase, and that’s doubly true for one of this length. That’s right, PlayStation isn’t coming to us with a short-and-sharp, in-and-out affair; this morning’s State of Play presentation is over an hour long. Firstly, I’m fairly certain the Blue Brand is trying to consume my entire day as I try to jot down everything that happened in one concise article, but secondly, let’s just let ourselves get a little excited and take a look at some damn games.

Here are all of the announcements to come out of the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play:

Kena: Scars of Kosmora

Ember Labs is back with another Pixar-quality adventure. While it doesn’t seem possible, the visuals and presentation have improved from the original, and the gameplay looks to have been deepened as well. We see mounts, more fluid combat, and a greater emphasis on connecting with living NPCs rather than those who have passed on. It’s targeting a 2026 release for both PS5 and PC.

Ghost Of Yōtei Legends

We knew it was coming, just not when or in what form. The four-player co-op mode for Ghost of Yotei will focus on hunting down demonic versions of the Yotei Six, with players able to choose from four playable classes, all with different loadouts, abilities, and weapons. This will be a free update, just as it was for Ghost of Tsushima, launching on March 10.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

As expected, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming to PC on March 19. This version will include all of the niceties you would expect, including ultrawide support, unlocked framerates, and DualSense support

4-Loop

We’ve already seen a little bit from 4-Loop, but here we got a look at the co-op gameplay. Alien monsters, killer robots, and printable humans are aplenty, alongside skill trees, massive bosses, and various ways to get through a given run. No release info just yet, but there was a promise of beta testing to come.

Pragmata

Another short look at gameplay for Pragmata was next, showing the connection between our lead characters. A space man and his AI little girl, a tale as old as time.

Resident Evil Requiem

Wait, wait, wait, is Leon ok? New gameplay snippets and a strong focus on the game’s story were present in this trailer, including a nasty-looking sore on Mr Kennedy’s hand. Oh, as we see the man himself return to the police station. Let’s. Go.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remaster

The classic vampire action game is getting a remaster. It will, of course, get a visual uplift, as well as new cosmetics, lost levels, and even a playable demo for the unreleased and unfinished Dark Prophecy game. This one is coming on March 3.

Brigandine Abyss

No release info, but we did get a nice look at this upcoming strategy title, complete with its over-the-top anime dramatics.

Dead or Alive 6: Last Round

DOA 6 is getting a facelift with the Last Round version. A photo mode, gameplay improvements, and promise of new content lead the way here. A free-to-play version will also be available when the game launches on June 25. We also got a tiny tease of a new Dead or Alive game, but it was mighty brief.

Control Resonant

Well, damn, we got a proper look at Control Resonant gameplay. Dylan Faden takes centre stage in the middle of New York, shifting gravity to walk on buildings and creating melee weapons out of thin air. The hand-to-hand combat looks fast and crunchy, and the mind-bending visuals and scenarios look just as wild as we would expect from Remedy. Speaking of which, that final dancer boss looks incredible. Can’t wait.

Crimson Moon

Do you like blood and violence? I hope so. What about crazy armour sets and sharp weapons? Even better. We are light on details, but Crimson Moon appears to be a two-player co-op action game with medieval and fantastical elements. I’m down. This one is coming in 2026.

Beast of Reincarnation

We only just got a girthy look at Game Freak’s newest game during the Xbox Developer_Direct, but we got even more glimpses at combat and exploration here. The one-dog, one-human action game still looks rad, and we can expect to play it on August 4.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition

Hey man, I love Rayman, and I don’t care who knows it. This collection will offer five versions of the original game, and heaps of behind-the-scenes interviews, concept art and other goodies. A digital version will be available tomorrow, while physical versions will be available from June 26.

Mina The Hollower

Good lord, people have been waiting a long time for the follow-up to Shovel Knight. And, unfortunately, they’ll need to keep waiting. No, we didn’t get a release date, but we are getting a PS5-exclusive demo tomorrow, so that’s a hell of a consolation.

Neva: Prologue

Set before the events of the action platformer, Neva: Prologue will focus on telling how the two main characters met, as they try to avoid a malevolent force. This one is coming on February 19, so you won’t need to wait long.

Yakoh: Shinobi Ops

Fog of war gameplay can be tense at the best of times, and that’s without adding in the threat of supernatural beasts lurking in the shadows. Yakoh is a four-player co-op stealth game that will see you and your sneaky friends trying to stealth around and take down enemy threats before they chase you and end you. This one won’t hit our screens until 2027.

Project Windless

Holy shit that character designs go hard here. Based on the book series, The Bird that Drinks Tears, Project Windless, is a third-person action game that looks to share some similarities with the Dynasty Warrior series. Well, that is, because this giant chicken man was tearing through smaller foes like butter, at the very least. Lots of melee action, lots of flashy set pieces, and probably a lot of proper nouns to come from this one.

Star Wars Galactic Racer

I’m going to tell my niece that this is F1. Announced during The Game Awards 2025, Star Wars Racer is exactly what it sounds like: a racing game set in a galaxy far, far away. We got a tiny bit of gameplay here, as well as a few glimpses at the game’s story mode and characters. It. Looks. Awesome. Still no date, but it is coming this year.

007 First Light

You know what, I’m all in on 007 First Light. We’ve seen plenty from it already, but this little teaser continued the trend of looking awesome. Bond, babes, badarse set pieces. What more could you ask for? We can get around it on May 27.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2

Holy shit, it’s actually happening. We got the first volume years ago, but it didn’t look like the follow-up would ever eventuate. But here we are. This collection includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The wait is over on August 27. Who knows, maybe I’ll finally play through this legendary series now. An added bonus will see Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 get a few visual tweaks as well, bringing it closer to the quality of Vol 2. Neat.

Darwin’s Paradox!

A demo for the cute stealth platformer, Darwin’s Paradox!, is coming tomorrow, and it’s a damn Metal Gear crossover. Shades of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. We also got a release date of April 2 for the full game, which isn’t far away at all.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Holy shit, Konami didn’t come to play. Instead of announcing another remake, remaster, or collection, we are finally getting a new game in the Castlevania series, Belmont’s Curse. A new art style, plenty of new gameplay quirks, and a new playable character are coming with this entry, which will be exciting as hell for fans of the long-running series. No release date yet, but damn, this is huge.

Silent Hill Townfall

A first-person Silent Hill from a partnership between Annapurna and Konami? What planet are we living on? This trailer, depicting a fisherman with dangerous sleeping habbits was eerie as hell, and wonderfully tone-setting. We’re getting first-person combat and spooky seaside feels. I’m all the way in.

Rev. Noir

Some JRPG goodness to make Nathan happy here. Colourful, bright, and almost devoid of gameplay, this first look was brief, but cool. From what we did see, it looks to have real-time action combat, but I couldn’t tell you much more than that at this stage.

Untitled John Wick Game

Well, well, well, nice to see you, Mr Wick. We’ve had a John Wick tactics game, but I think we’ve all been hankering for a title that gives us the good stuff. Well, here it is. Developed by Saber Interactive, this looks like a combo of Sleeping Dogs and Sifu, which gets my toes a-tappin’.

Marathon

We heard about and seen plenty from Bungie’s Marathon, and the game’s release is around the corner, so there’s no big reveal here. With that said, this trailer was here to set a tone, and boy oh boy did it manage to do that. Flexing the game’s sizable voice cast, we got some hints at the game’s story, which actually seems pretty rad. Oh, and there’s a bit more to talk about: Marathon is getting a free server slam from February 26 to March 2 before the game hits on March 5.

PlayStation Plus

Spider-Man 2 is coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue on February 17, which is a big get for those who haven’t played it yet (what have you been doing?). Tekken: Dark Resurrection is also coming in March as part of the classics catalogue, alongside the OG Time Crisis. The House House walkabout game, Big Walk, was also confirmed for PlayStation Plus, set to drop later this year.

Saros

Housemarque, I can’t take it anymore. Just give me the game. We got another, deeper look at the follow-up to Returnal. Permanent progression is new to the run-gun-die-repeat we saw in Housemarques last game, and so too is the option to instantly head back to any biome you’ve previously unlocked. In another badarse addition, you’ll be able to cause an eclipse on Carcossa, making enemies deadlier, and the environment far more threatening.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Storm and Magik are joining as playable fighters, alongside Wolverine and Danger. This collection of X-Men characters will be playable at launch on August 6.

God of War Trilogy Remake

Sony Snata Monica has been mighty quiet, and now we know why. The God of War Trilogy Remake will bring together the first three games, and the Ghost of Sparta will, once again, be voiced by the wonderful TC Carson. We don’t know how much of a remake this will be, as it’s still in early development, but it’s very, very exciting.

God of War: Sons of Sparta

The rumours were true, we’re getting a 2.5D God of War project. In a pixel artstyle, we’re seeing Kratos’ origins as a Spartan. No, not as the white and red rage machine, but well before his ascension. Oh, and not to surprise you or anything, but it’s out today.

When you come in swinging, promising an hour of reveals and announcements, you’d best not miss. In my humble opinion, the State of Play did not miss. What a huge show, filled with an insane number of big games and bigger trailers. God of War (times two), Saros, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and more. It’s 10am, and I already need a nap.
