Everything Shown At Frosty Mini December 2025

Mini but mighty

Back in June of this year, the very first Frosty Games Fest showcase hit our screens, highlighting a range of killer games being worked on by developers in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. As we look to close out the year, the team are back with Frosty Mini, a more bite-sized breakdown of what’s going on in the local game development scene.

Clocking in at around 30 minutes and largely focusing on updates to already announced titles, this morning’s Frosty Mini was a can’t-miss for those wanting to expand their Steam Wishlist. Did you sleep through your alarm? Don’t stress, we’ve got you covered.

Here are all the announcements from the Frosty Mini 2025:

Wyrmspace Tactics

Now, I know I said that this Frosty Mini will mainly focus on already announced titles, but how about we kick off with a reveal, just to get you in the mood?

Wyrmspace Tactics is a tile-based tactics title that sees you pulling off high-risk heists…in space. Using a card-based action mechanic to get yourself into and then out of trouble, you’ll try and snag valuables and make it back to your team aboard your ship, where you’ll need to balance relationships and uncover each of their checkered pasts.

Signs of Danger

Another new reveal? We’re being spoiled. A roguelike, physics-based, co-op multiplayer game with friendly fire. This will cause arguments in my house. Playing alone, or with up to three friends, Signs of Danger will see you dropping ever deeper down a chasm on an alien world, uncovering threats to shoot and obstacles to overcome.

Enfant

Next up was a new trailer for the action-adventure coming out of New South Wales, Enfant. Playing as an anthropomorphic elephant with a cute little backpack, you’ll explore a colourful world as the trunk-touting protagonist searches for their herd. This new trailer shows off a bunch of other cute critters, including a snoozy frog, as well as some more threatening beasties, like a huge squid and crab. If you’re a fan of vibe-y 3D experiences, whack this on the to-play list.

Castle Cab

Looking at the elevator pitch for Castle Cab and reading the term “horsed-themed party game” certainly got my attention. Hitching a wagon to your trusty steed, you’ll go on a delivery rampage through a medieval town, drifting, jumping, and neighing your way to victory against three friends. This new trailer for Frosty Mini not only showed off a carriage shaped like a toilet, but also locked in a Q4 2026 release date for the chaotic party game.

Bad Badger

Another brand new reveal. Bad Badger is a game that does exactly what it says on the tin. Embodying a rather mischievous black and white menace, you’ll cause havoc around the zoo in this sandbox title akin to Goat Simulator. Smash, crash, hide, sneak, and commit grand theft auto as only a honey badger can.

Liminal

Providing the VR space with some love, Liminal is a thought-provoking title that starts you off as a galaxy-sized cosmic being, capable of grasping entire planets in your hands. As you progress, however, you’ll gradually shrink in size, from a giant who controls the weather, down to an insect-sized dot getting lost in the grass. It’s a contemplative idea, and Liminal looks to be executing it with style. Pop this on your radar if you’re a fan of VR.

From The Top

Ooooooh, the first shadow drop. The first? Will there be more? You’ll have to read on.

From the Top is a roguelike deckbuilder crossed with Beyblades, which is a hell of a combo. Collect new battle tops, use a range of game-changing abilities, and crush the opposition before re-rolling the situation and going again. The art style is minimalistic and cool, the concept is appealing, and you can play it right this minute. Win, win, win.

Grist

A game within a game, that’s the business. Grist is a roguelike RPG that explores the mysterious video game Atropos, where in-game items and happenings have a strange habit of popping up in the real world. Card-based battles and tabletop-inspired choices that affect your story meet in this mind-melting experience that you’ll be able to jump into when it comes to Steam Early Access on February 26, 2026. If you’re still a bit confused, why not try it for yourself with the free Steam demo?

Teeto

Harkening back to the good old days when 3D mascot platformers were all the rage, Teeto is exactly that, where players can embody a blob and his rabbit pal as they run, jump, and transform to explore a whimsical world. The core 3D platforming looks like a blast, but, for me, the true appeal of Teeto comes with the ability to play it with a friend in couch co-op. Truly a welcome blast from the past that we won’t have to wait too long to enjoy, as it’s been confirmed for a Q2 2026 release.

Wishlist on Steam | Release Date: Q2 2026

Odd Jobs: On The Lot

This is a sub-genre I can really get behind. Odd Jobs: On The Lot is a top-down four-player party game akin to Overcooked or Moving Out, where you and up to three friends play as supermarket employees tasked with bringing order to an unruly carpark filled with haphazardly placed carts and messy deliveries. It’s cute as heck, with little animal characters running around the place, and it’s coming in Q4 of 2026.

Letters to Arralla

Let’s take a moment to look at an Aussie game that was released recently in Letters to Arralla. Playing as a mail-delivering turnip with an arse that won’t quit shouldn’t be enjoyed solely by the PC community, and developer Little Pink Clouds agreed, announcing today that the cozy game will be coming to Nintendo Switch in Q1 2026.

We reviewed Letters to Arralla when it released on PC early this year, and we loved it, giving it an eight and saying, “Letters to Arralla is a wholesome game that gets it right. Beautiful to look at and propelled by a sense of place that you want to keep walking and sitting in.”

Video Nightz

It’s the year 1999, renting a movie is the best way you could possibly spend your night, and the threat of Y2K looms. The good old days. Video Nightz sets you squarely in the middle of a video store during the dying days of the 90s, tasking you with listening to your customers and recommending a flick that will suit their needs. It’s an awesome idea with a great aesthetic, and you can try it out right now with a Steam demo that just dropped.

Factory 95

It’s a demo deluge. Factory 95 tries to raise my blood pressure by reminding me that Clippy once existed with the singular purpose to make me feel like an idiot. In an event, this Windows-inspired puzzle-automation game has you creating engines within a slideshow, all while guided by…Pinny. I hate him already. You can jump on Steam now to give the demo a try.

Wishlist on Steam | Release Date: Q1 2026

Game Quest: The Backlog Battler

Demo overdrive! This, this game is clever. Game Quest: The Backlog Battler is a hack ‘n slash title that replaces typical enemies with games from your Steam backlog, turning your pile of shame into a pile of pain. The best little wrinkle is that the more you spent on the game, the more damage they’ll do to you, just as they did to your wallet. Fantastic idea, funny as hell, I want to play it. Lucky for me, a Steam demo has just dropped.

GO PHISH

Well, it’s on me for assuming I knew everything about this game based on the title. GO PHISH is technically a card game, but there’s a lot more going on under the hood. Playing as a destitute dude with debt and no job, you’ll play a roguelike version of Go Fish to hack people’s computers, syphoning their funds to pay your bills if you win. It’s a whacky little title that reminds me of Schedule 1 crossed with Balatro, and now my head hurts thinking about that fusion.

The Willowmist Emporium of Antiques & Curiosities

Many of us fantasise about leaving the city and working in a cozy little town in the country. If you can’t actually do that, you’re best to look at The Willowmist Emporium of Antiques & Curiosities to digitally scratch that itch. Heading to the town of Willowmist, you’re tasked with running your aunt’s antique store as you choose between five romantic options/customers. Part cozy game, part romantic sim, this one will tick boxes for a lot of folks. Better still, you can start ticking those boxes now with a free Steam demo.

Bento Blocks

This is my kind of cozy game. A simple, yet enjoyable gameplay loop of cutting food into manageable pieces to fit them into a bento box of a different shape sounds relaxing as hell. Difficulty will rise as you play on, with more mechanics layered on top of one another, but the delicious set dressing continues throughout. I’m hungry, I’m ready to play Bento Blocks, and I don’t have to wait, as a new Steam demo popped up today.

A Date with Death 2: REMNANTS

The chat/dating sim returns for another dalliance with death. In A Date with Death 2: Remnants, you’ll take one step towards never, embodying a newly created Grim Reaper that’s tasked with guiding souls to their final resting place. What will you likely be doing? Using the game’s extensive character creator, making a gorgeous Reaper, then trying to date one of your fellow gorgeous Reapers. Naturally.

Middle Management

This is a perfectly normal, completely realistic office building and management simulator that perfectly captures what it means to work within a corporate structure. I don’t know about you, but my office is run by a multi-limbed, brain-draining being that sucks the creativity and life out of you. This satirical management sim was shown off during PAX Aus 2025, and now it’s time for its grand reveal to the world. Odd, yet disturbingly familiar, this is one to keep an eye on, particularly if you like your management sims to come with a tiny sliver of body horror.

Wishlist on Steam | Release Date: TBA

Adaptory

From one management sim to another, though, Adaptory features far fewer tentacles. Taking to the stars, your crew becomes stranded on a planet you weren’t designated for, leaving you to adapt to survive. Fans of Fallout Shelter will undoubtedly find this one interesting, as you’ll be building out a base and managing your crew to ensure your mission to space doesn’t end in disaster. A demo is available now, but, better still, you’ll be able to jump into the game’s Steam Early Access on January 27, 2026.

Die by Die

Oh, I see now, that’s a clever title. Die by Die is a text-based roguelike RPG that harkens back to a time when your imagination played a vital role in story and your entire experience. Playing solo or with three friends locally, you’ll sneak past guards, roll for checks, and weave a narrative that changes with each encounter.

Wirm

Has your partner ever asked you if you would love them if they turned into a worm? Well, this is how you can test that theory. Wirm is a funky little physics platformer where you embody a wiggly worm, digging through dirt and wobbling along the ground towards your goal. If you and your partner would still love each other after that transformation, you can enjoy your new lives together in local co-op, and you can do it…TODAY! Bam, another surprise release.

Woodworm

Back-to-back games where you play as worms. Alright, ANZ dev community, I see you. Woodworm takes a different approach, wherein your little player-controlled wriggly guy eats through blocks of wood to create sculptures that are then popped on display by your little goblin friend. Strange yet strangely appealing, this one is out, let me see, right now! We are on a roll.

Drăculești

Man, I want Zach Jackson to pronounce this game’s title. Drăculești is a visual novel that sees players take up the briefcase of lawyer R. M. Renfield as he attends Dracula’s castle. Chatting with and choosing whether or not to trust other beings in the castle, you look for a means to escape, all while Dracula’s shadow looms large. This one is coming to Steam Early Access on March 2, 2026.

Key Fairy

I’ve been obsessed with Key Fairy since I played it at PAX Aus 2025, so this announcement made my day. A bullet-hell shooter with no combat sounds like an odd concept, but this game’s movement mechanics and pacifist gameplay make for an addictive and tense experience. Oh, and its monochromatic art style is second to none. I’ve been desperate to play more, and soon I’ll be able to, when Key Fairy hits PC on February 19, 2026.

Toroa: Skycall

Ok, thank you to whoever at Frost Games HQ compiled two back-to-back announcements that speak directly to me. Toroa: Skycall is a beautiful and thought-provoking game that has you take to the skies as an albatross, meeting various other native animals along the way, helping them with their needs and protecting the environment at the same time. I first played Toroa back in 2022 at PAX Aus, and I’m excited to get into the full game right this very minute, as the full game has seen a sneaky shadow drop during this morning’s showcase.

Buy on Steam | Release Date: Out now

For a “mini” showcase, this Frosty Games outing was absolutely packed with shadow drops, new trailers, release dates, and reveals aplenty. I would wager that there was at least one thing in the mix for everyone, which is a testament to how stacked with talent the ANZ game development scene is.
