Final Fantasy VII is a beloved JRPG and Final Fantasy VII Remake was well-received by many, including us. Reputable Final Fantasy leaker ‘Navtra’ has suggested that the remake will soon be gracing the PS5 and PC with more than just a visual upgrade from the original PS4 release. While this has yet to be concretely substantiated, ‘new story content’ was purportedly put aside for the upgraded ports. It’s also important to remember that the PS4 exclusivity is will expire on April 10, 2021.
During a concert scheduled for February 13, new information is apparently going to be announced about the remake according to co-director Motomu Toriyama. This is by no means clear cut, but if you also take into account that FFVII Remake was one of a few games to receive ‘unspecified PS5-related support’ recently then things are looking pretty good.
Final Fantasy VII is available now exclusively on PS4.
