Ukrainian developer Frogwares has dropped a gameplay trailer for its upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror game The Sinking City 2.
The two-and-a-half-minute video gives us a look at exploration, combat, and the eldritch monstrosities that have taken over Arkham, as well as the general shift to a more survival horror experience over its signature detective-first gameplay.
The Sinking City 2 is the standalone sequel to the 2019 entry and sees occult adventurer Calvin Rafferty in the flooded streets of 1920s-inspired Arkham, searching for a way to save his girlfriend after she failed to wake up from a ritual gone wrong. But doing so will not be an easy task, as Calvin will need to fight otherworldly monsters based on Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos and new and unique additions.
Right now, The Sinking City 2 is aiming for a winter 2026 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Based on what we’ve seen, it’s shaping up to be a solid survival horror experience.
