The year is now in full swing, and the big-time releases from February have set a high standard for the rest of 2026. March looks to continue the trend, with a few blockbuster titles from established franchises amidst a wave of enticing newcomers. A nice little melting pot, we can expect to see everything from online shooters and historical action games, right through to farming sims and anime racers. We’re fingertips away from some of these, so let’s waste no time and take a look at which games you should get around in March 2026.

World of Warcraft: Midnight

Developer: Blizzard Entertainment | Publisher: Blizzard Entertainment | Platform: PC | Release: March 3 | Wishlist

The middle part of the narrative sandwich that is The Worldsoul Saga finally drops, to fight the good fight and hopefully establish itself as an Empire Strikes Back rather than a Matrix Reloaded. It’s a tough mission to serve as the bridging point between story start and conclusion, but Blizzard seemingly is throwing everything at the wall to make sure that enough sticks keep it memorable. The war of light and shadow has made its way to familiar shores, with players enjoying a revamped and remastered Elven landscape across the Eversong Woods. The troll dungeon of Zul’Aman is now a whole-arse zone to explore, and a brand new Prey system means players can enjoy the thrill of being hunted down by NPCs hoping to claim a bounty. Keep your head on a swivel, because they can jump you at some inopportune times.

Of course, if none of that floats your boat, you can just settle down in your house and watch the world go by – arranging cushions and decorating to your heart’s content. Why not?

Pokémon Pokopia

Developer: Omega Force | Publisher: Nintendo/The Pokémon Company | Platform: Switch 2 | Release: March 6

Borrowing from similar titles like Stardew Valley and Dragon Quest Builders, Pokémon Pokopia is a slice-of-life farming simulator that sees you playing as a Ditto doing its very best to impersonate its one-time human trainer. Walking around as an almost human, you’ll encounter and befriend other wild Pokémon as you sow crops, collect resources, and build a little paradise for you and your new friends. We had a great time with Pokopia during our hands-on preview, and can’t wait to get stuck back in.

Marathon

Developer: Bungie | Publisher: Bungie | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC | Release: March 6 | Wishlist

From the creators of Destiny and Halo, Marathon is a neon-soaked sci-fi first-person extraction shooter centred around the mysterious fate of the titular Marathon colony ship that went dark over 100 years ago. In classic PvPvE fashion, teams of three players assume the role of Runners, mercenaries that insert their consciousness into synthetic shells in order to scavenge resources and complete objectives. Teams of three will gear up, choose a shell, and battle other players for valuable loot before attempting to make it back to safety. Marathon has seen plenty of ups and downs during its long development, but, if the recent server slam is anything to go by, the full release might just land the plane.

John Carpenter’s Toxi Commando

Developer: Sabre Interactive | Publisher: Focus Entertainment | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC | Release: March 12 | Wishlist

Part zombie shooter, part MudRunner. Toxic Commando is a four-player co-op shooter that blends Left 4 Dead-style chaos with vehicle-based strategy to create a unique experience that is hard to come by in this genre. Missions take place in wide open areas and feature a variety of gross enemies to be turned into mulch by an arsenal of weaponry and a garage of different automobiles, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. We had a great time blasting through Sludge monsters during our preview, and we look forward to jumping back in soon.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake

Developer: Koei Tecmo | Publisher: Koei Tecmo | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/Switch 2/PC | Release: March 12 | Wishlist

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly was originally released in 2003 and went on to become something of a cult classic in the genre. Confronted by ghosts, spirits, and other malicious entities, your only form of defence is the Camera Obscura, a mysterious device that can seal the spectres away in a photograph. The remake is a complete rebuild of the title, updating everything from visuals and audio to controls and textures.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

Developer: Capcom | Publisher: Capcom | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/Switch 2/PC | Release: March 13 | Wishlist

A real treat for those sickos that enjoy the brilliant cousin of the mainline Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is coming out of the gate with the intention to punch well above its weight and redefine what expectations people might have regarding the goofy side story series. Our preview of Twisted Reflection spoke of a sequel that has ramped up its presentation, systems, and story to sit comfortably at the big-kid table – without alienating the fans who supported its unique mechanical approach for all those years. Twisted Reflection is simply a cut above, and I am positively vibrating to see how its story is resolved.

Crimson Desert

Developer: Pearl Abyss | Publisher: Pearl Abyss | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC | Release: March 19 | Wishlist

After a long wait, the ambitious open-world action-adventure game is almost here. Developed and published by Pearl Abyss, Crimson Desert is an extensive action RPG, so dense with mechanics and systems that it’s hard to call them all out here. You’ll be grappling/swinging around like Spider-Man, riding dragons, casting magic spells, piloting mechs, climbing cliffsides, and engaging in fast-paced melee combat, all within a techno-fantasy world filled with mythological creatures and advanced tech. It’s a wild combination of ideas and design principles that many have been eagerly awaiting to delve into.

Screamer

Developer: Milestone | Publisher: Milestone | Platform: PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC | Release: March 26 | Wishlist

On the surface, Screamer may look like a brand-new IP, but it’s actually a resurrection of a racing series that kicked off in 1993. While it shares a name and some core values with its predecessor, Screamer (2026) is a different beast. This arcade racer takes cues from fighting games, with drivers balancing two power-up bars that let them hit a boost for extra speed, strike an opposing racer, or shield themselves from damage. All of this fast-paced action is wrapped up in an anime-inspired story, with animated cutscenes weaving a tale of betrayal and vengeance.

If you thought you’d get a rest after a stacked February, you’re wrong. March is brimming with interesting titles and long-awaited releases, and we couldn’t fit them all into one list. Keep on the lookout for more games, like Ghost of Yōtei Legends, Damon and Baby, and Life is Strange: Reunion, as well as the potential bangers you’ve seen here.

With that said, what are the games you’re most excited to play in March? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
