Headup Games Reveals Four Indie Games During The Guerrilla Collective Event

A (Guerilla) collection of indie games

With no live events, no conferences and no E3, this year could have been a bit flat in the world of gaming, but the industry had other ideas. The Summer of Gaming is in full swing, Sony kicked the door in with their Future of Gaming event and there’s still a bunch more to come.

Publisher Headup Games got in on the digital conference trend in the form of the Guerilla Collective Event. During the event, we got a first look at a brand new game as well as some release information on some other indie titles under the Headup banner.

Kicking things off we got an announcement from the roguelike card game RPG, Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four. This RPG pits you against the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse, going one on one against them in card battles. This one will release on PC later in 2020.

Next up we got a release date announcement for the top-down wild-west shooter, Colt Canyon. This pixel art shooter has you blasting through bandits, searching for your kidnapped partner. Colt Canyon will be releasing on Xbox One, Switch and PC on June 16, 2020.

A sneaky little treat for the closer as two games were given the cheeky release date of right now on Xbox One and Switch.

Outbuddies DX is a 2D side-scrolling shooter that’s sprinkled with Metroidvania elements. Exploring a lost world with your robotic friend Buddy, you’ll encounter strange creatures on your path to learn more about the Old Gods. You can download this one for Xbox One and Switch right this moment.

The second surprise release came in the form of Rigid Force Redux, a classic side-scrolling shoot ’em up that’s been brought into the present on modern consoles. 60 FPS, crisper visuals and some hectic gameplay, this one looks to be a solid refresh of an old-school title. You can pick this one up on Xbox One and Switch, you guessed it, right now.

So there we have it, a nice serving of indie pie. An announcement, a release date reveal and two surprise releases during the event made this package a solid one.
