Here’s A Sneaky First Look At Cyberpunk 2077’s Map

Verticality where it counts

With 2019 coming to a close, we look back in reflection at all of the banger games we played over the past 12 months, but more importantly we start looking to next year in anticipation for all of the potential banger games that will be releasing soon. It is safe to say that 2020 is shaping up to be a mammoth year for video games, with titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us Part II, Halo Infinite and heaps more just on the horizon. No single game has created a buzz like Cyberpunk 2077 however.

The next game from the creators of The Witcher, CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk’s hype train has consistently been building momentum for years now, without any signs off stopping. With gameplay demos shown at E3 and the confirmation of Keanu Reeves being a companion in-game, everyone (myself included) is clambering for more information.

Luckily, thanks to a product listing for The World of Cyberpunk 2077 Deluxe Edition Lore Book on the Amazon US store, we now have a decent look at the map we are all dying to explore:

It may only be a small image that is light on major detail, but it does give us an idea of the scale and density of Night City. CD Projekt Red has gone on the record saying that they are focusing less on making a huge, sprawling map that is scarcely filled, rather they plan on delivering a highly explorable, vertical city.

Just another crumb of info regarding what will no doubt be one of the biggest games of 2020. To tide you over take a look (most likely another look) at the kick arse cinematic trailer from E3 2019. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC April 16 2020.
