Here Is What The PlayStation 5 Box Looks Like

How good?

The price and release date weren’t the only reveals for the PlayStation 5 this morning, with Sony showing off what the cardboard housing your brand new PS5 will look like. For some, this cardboard box will merely be that – a cardboard box. While others will take delight in eyeing it off on their shelf (or garage) for years to come.

What’s to say about it? Well it’s white, with PlayStation’s iconic symbols largely placed behind the console and controller. There’s the PS5 logo, as well as some 8K and 4K (one even showboating 120FPS). It’s all very exciting stuff. I mean in terms of console boxes, it’s up there with the best.

Then there’s the digital edition box, and wowee is this a game-changer. It’s got the same symbols and other logos on there, but what sets this one apart? The black background. And of course the picture of the digital PS5 console.

Earlier today PlayStation announced the release date and price for that cardboard box: $749.95 and $599.95 for both editions which are launching on November 12. Though I suspect most people will be paying that sort of money for the contents of the box. But then again, you never know.
