Sydney Film Festival has announced a one-on-one “in-conversation” panel featuring developer Hideo Kojima and director George Miller, which will take place on June 14 at Sydney Town Hall.
The one-night event will see famed video game creator Hideo Kojima and legendary director George Miller sit down to discuss their creative approaches to their respective fields. Kojima is likely to want to talk about films, though, as his body is 70% film. The description from the Sydney Film Festival website reads, “This will be an unmissable conversation where they will discuss the fertile shared ground between cinema and video games.”
The two creators will also discuss Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the latest game from Kojima Productions, which stars Miller himself. The Death Stranding sequel being set in Australia deepens Miller’s connection to the game, as he is an icon of the Australian cinema scene.
The in-conversation event will take place on June 14 at 5pm at the Sydney Town Hall, with tickets starting at $55 on sale now.
