Horizon Forbidden West’s Digital And Physical Editions Have Been Revealed

The Forbidden fruit

A number of digital and physical editions of Horizon Fordibben West have been revealed in a PlayStation Blog post. Releasing on February 18, 2022, Forbidden West will be available in Digital Deluxe, Special, Collector’s and Regalia Editions, each coming with their own benefits and goodies that we will go through now.

It’s worth noting straight away that not all editions will grant you access to the PS4 and PS5 copies of the game. Only those who purchase the Digital Deluxe, Collector’s or Regalia Editions will get access to Forbidden West on both platforms.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will set you back AU$139.95 and is available for pre-order now on the PlayStation Store. This edition comes with a digital copy of the game (on both PS4 and PS5), two outfits, two weapons, a collection of in-game resources, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack and a digital graphic novel.

The Special Edition is the first of the physical offering, coming with a copy of the game, on either PS4 or PS5, an in-game outfit, an in-game weapon, a steelbook and a mini artbook. The PS5 version is available to pre-order at EB Games for AU$139.95 or at JB Hi-Fi for $139. The PS4 version is also available for preorder at EB Games for AU$124.95 or at JB Hi-Fi for AU$124.

The Collector’s Edition is a beefy one with a beefy price tag. It’ll be available to pre-order through EB Games at 11am AEST today and it’ll set you back AU$299.95. Keep in mind that this edition, despite coming with a steelbook, only includes a digital copy of the game. The edition includes:

  • Horizon Forbidden West (Digital) PS4 and PS5 versions
  • Horizon Forbidden West SteelBook Display Case
  • A custom sculpted Tremortusk and Aloy statue
  • Mini Art Book
  • 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
  • 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
  • In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
  • In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
  • Exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Digital Version of The Sunhawk, the first Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel

The final, and biggest, physical offering is the Regalia Edition. At this stage, we don’t have any word on whether or not this will be reaching us here in Australia, but it would have a price tag of roughly AU$350. This big fella comes with:
