Developer Heart Machine and publisher Gearbox have announced Hyper Light Breaker, a follow-up to their popular 2D action/adventure title Hyper Light Drifter.
Taking place in an area known as the Overgrowth, Breaker will be an action rogue-lite that moves away from the gameplay of Drifter, moving into a fully 3D perspective. Further setting itself apart from its predecessor, Breaker will allow for both solo and co-op gameplay, as you set out across large areas and face off against various monsters in an attempt to overthrow the Abyss King.
You can wishlist Hyper Light Breaker on Steam now, with the game set to release in Early Access on the platform in Spring 2023. There’s no release information for any other consoles, but you can assume that it will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well.
