The key to any RPG is climbing those levels and increasing those stats. FFXV gives you a rather convenient way of levelling incredibly fast, to the point where it’s almost broken. But if you’ve come this far, you’re probably in the mood for some power-levelling, so here’s how you do it:
The trick is to get to a certain level (I was level 20 when I began doing this but sooner probably works too) and then do every mission you can find that is at or below your level (especially Monster Hunts found at restaurants), making sure you don’t camp or do any story quests. If you camp, you tally your EXP, which is fine, but not what we’re here for. Story missions often force you to tally EXP too, so are best avoided.
By now you should have hoarded a tidy amount of EXP, not to mention a fair bit of Gil if you’ve done a heap of monster hunts. Now all you have to do is get in the car and drive to Galdin Quay. There’s a hotel there (near the restaurant) that will give a 2x multiplier on any EXP. A stay there costs 10000 Gil, which should be pocket change if you’ve done the hunts as instructed. Et voilà! Simple as that.
Here’s the spot at Galdin Quay
Using this method I levelled from 20 to 33 to 46, before really doing any main missions. Check out some before and after images below:
