Leviathan’s Breath Is Out Now In Destiny 2, Here’s How To Get It

Bow to its magnificence

It’s the fourth week of the Season of the Undying in Destiny 2 and the highly anticipated Heavy Bow, Leviathan’s Breath, is finally available. There are a few steps to getting this exotic and they’re pretty simple.

NOTE: To get this exotic quest and the subsequent bow you need to own the Season Pass for Season of the Undying.

Speak to Banshee-44

The questline starts with you having to talk to the gunsmith, Banshee-44, so you can pick up the quest and tasks you with making your way to his hidden armoury.

Find Banshee-44’s hidden armoury

If you were one of the players that entered the secret room through the glitch in the tower, then you would already know where this is. First those that don’t know, head towards the hangar on the eastern side of the Tower and scale the stairs and catwalks until you are above the Future War Cult room.

Once you are up there you can jump across to a catwalk that is connected to the vents. Go through the vents and as soon as you come out to a room, turn left and go through that doorway. At the end of this hallway you will drop down into  a small vent, walk to the other side of it and you’ll jump up and pop out in another room. There will be a doorway at the back of this room to the left, go through and follow it to a new room. Look carefully at the ceiling above one of the shelving units and there will be an opening in the vents. Jump through here and follow it all through and take the second left turn (it will be at the end of a tunnel). You’ll come out to some smaller platforms, go up these and you’ll find another opening that will come out to Banshee-44’s secret armoury. Interact with the weapons locker and you’ll be on to the next step in the quest.

Complete Gambit matches or strikes

This one is pretty self explanatory. Gambit prime matches and Nightfall strikes contribute more. I’d recommend the 750 Nightfall as each completion accounts for 50% (and it’s matchmade).

Be precise with your bow

This step just tasks you with getting bow precision kills against Vex or Cabal. A good idea for this would be going in to the Vex Offensive activity. It won’t take long to complete this step.

Defeat The Arms Dealer

This step tasks you with completing a higher level version of The Arms Dealer Strike. This isn’t too hard and it includes matchmaking. It does have some modifiers but for the most part you can cruise through this.

Return to the Tower

Just go back and talk to Banshee-44 again

Head back to the secret armoury

Just follow the same directions from the second step and this time you will be able to claim your new exotic heavy bow

Leviathan’s Breath

The first of its kind, this exotic heavy bow deals Void damage and has the following perks:

  • Big Game Hunter – Fires a massive heavy bolt that staggers unshielded enemy combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.
  • Chain Bowstring – Slightly increases accuracy and increases stability
  • Fibreglass Arrow Shaft – Greatly increases stability and slightly decreases stability
  • Leviathan’s Sigh – When fully drawn, the bolt creates a large concussive blasy that knocks enemies back

The ornament for the Leviathan’s Breath is also currently for sale in the Eververse Store for 700 Silver and gives it a very jaw-like appearance.
