Mafia: Definitive Edition Gets A Gameplay Reveal And A Number Of New Screenshots

It looks prohibitchin’

Though it’s been delayed slightly, I’m still very keen to get my hands on Mafia: Definitive Edition. Having never played the original, I’m excited to throw on a trenchcoat and make some punks swim with fishes (am I doing the gangster thing right?).

We’ve already been gifted with Mafia II: Definitive Edition (which we gave an 8), but the original Mafia is getting more than just a graphical upgrade and a fresh coat of paint. Yes, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a complete remake that’s been built from the ground up, which makes sense as the game, even from screenshots that we’ve been given so far, looks gorgeous. Speaking of screenshots, 2K has dropped a few more that are keeping up with the high standard set so far:

We’ve also been given a solid look at how the game will run, as 2K has just dropped a wicked gameplay reveal trailer. The gameplay is focused on the mission “A Trip to the Country” and is narrated by Hangar 13 president, Haden Blackman. This very crisp first look shows off some very impressive lighting and visuals, as well as some tight gunplay. Take a look below:

Mafia: Definitive Edition releases on PS4 and Xbox One on September 25, 2020.

Have you played the original Mafia? Will you be playing the Definitive Edition? Let us know.
