Metroid Prime 4 Announced as “In Development”

Metroid Prime is back, baby! In Nintendo’s E3 livestream, Metroid Prime 4 was announced to be a thing that’s happening through a really space-y trailer. And that’s it. No further details were given: No release date, no progress report, not even a developer. It’s almost certainly going to be Retro Studios again, but anything can happen.

The last Metroid Prime game was Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in 2007 for the Wii. We don’t talk about Federation Force. I am a massive fan of the original games, and this is one of the games that is forcing me to get Nintendo’s big bad Switch. I need more Samus in my life, and I need it soon.
