Despite being a decade old, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games around. Whether you’re adventuring in the Nether, building yet another house, mining for diamonds or taming cats to keep the creepers away, the timeless title is a fun and (sometimes) relaxing experience.
PC players have been able to jump into their crafted world via VR for quite some time now and soon those who mine on PS4 will get the same opportunity. Announced over on the PlayStation Blog, PS VR support is heading to Minecraft later this month.
It’s outlined in the post that nothing will be removed or limited while playing in VR, so you’ll be able to take full advantage of everything the game has to offer up close and personally. There will be a number of assessability options so you can tailor your experience, with VR: Immersion and Living Room modes available, though specific details on these modes haven’t been given as of yet.
PS VR support will be added as a free update to the game and will automatically be applied to all players with an internet connection.
Are you still playing Minecraft? Will you give it a go in VR? Let us know.
