New Guilty Gear Game Aims To Be A Complete Reconstruction Of The Franchise

Cooking up an interesting one here

The Guilty Gear series is one of fighting game developer, Arc System Works, most notable works. With a new entry into the series currently slated for 2020, we have gotten one of the first pieces of information into the development of this new title.

General Director of the Guilty Gear series, Daisuke Ishiwatari, released a post today via the Arc System Works Twitter expressing how he and his team are approaching the development.

One of the big takeaways from Ishiwatari’s words is that this new game is aiming to be just that, a completely new game. Claiming that it won’t be an “evolution” or “returning to the roots” is pretty bold, as many fighting game franchises use these as a way to market their games to their dedicated audiences. Instead, it seems Ishiwatari really wants create an experience that will not only satisfy the hardcore fans but also give those wanting to pick up the series for the first time a truly memorable adventure through the world of Guilty Gear that has a bold 20+ year history.

Guilty Gear (2020) was announced for the first time at EVO 2019 with an absolute badass trailer that you can watch below:
