As the release date of Star Fox Zero, the first game in the series since 2011, draws nearer, Nintendo has released a brand new trailer for it and its sister title Star Fox Guard! The video’s been linked below, but here’s the rundown:
- In true Star Fox fashion, levels will have multiple paths to completion.
- The Wii U gamepad can be used to aim your vehicles’ cannons, in first person.
- The Falco and Fox amiibo will be supported: Falco will unlock the Black Arwing, a craft with better weapons but inferior armour. Fox will unlock a SNES-style Arwing, complete with retro sounds and music.
- All versions of Zero will recieve a free demo of Guard, and buyers of either game on the Nintendo eShop will receive a discount from the other! The Limited Edition comes with both games and a steelbook case.
- Zero will retail for 79.95 AUD, while Guard will go for 19.50 AUD.
- To get you in the mood, Star Fox 64 is on sale via the eShop for 6.50 AUD.
Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard both launch on the 23rd of April.
