When Overwatch 2 dropped it’s deity-based deathmatch mode, The Battle of Olympus, they also made a promise to immortalise whichever godly being took the trophy for most kills throughout the event – and the tally has now been counted.
The victory goes to the electrifying newcomer with the power of Zeus – Junker Queen!
For many, the competition had a subtext of people banding together to just try and prevent Roadhog from winning, if only because the rotund menace is already winning at basically everything else he sets his mind too – a statue would just be taking the piss.
Of course, for those of us that are stalwart fans of the queen, we celebrated with reserved respect:

There is however a strand of controversy that found itself emulsified in the news – the reveal that the count for eliminations was wholly independent of environment kills.
While this seems entirely straightforward, it does highlight a concerning point for fans of the Brazilian DJ Lucio, who starred in the event as the swift Hermes. The souped-up kit of Hermes provided the perfect opportunity to knock people into pits and rack up a huge body count – and now those devout disciples of gravity feel slightly robbed.
Well, maybe next time you should join me in honourable combat instead of bopping me off the edge of the map for the 30th time because I just can’t seem to learn my lesson and keep letting it happen..!
