PlayStation have announced via PlayStation Blog that WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 will be available through PlayStation Plus in the month of August.
WipEout Omega Collection is a remaster of WipEout 2048, WipEout HD, and the WipEout HD Fury expansion. The WipEout games are beloved futuristic racing titles that see you driving high speed ships across various racetracks, and from what I’ve played of the franchise I’d recommend everyone give it a go. The WipEout Omega Collection is also playable in VR, so PlayStation VR users will get a little bit extra.
Sniper Elite 4 is yet another quality release in the Sniper Elite franchise, placing you in the shoes of a skilled sniper in 1943 Italy. The Sniper Elite titles are tactical shooters that prioritise stealth over run and gun action, and while I can’t speak on the quality of Sniper Elite 4 myself, the Metacritic rating leads me to believe it’s gonna be a decent time.
It is important to note that Detroit: Become Human and Horizon Chase Turbo, which were July’s PlayStation Plus titles, will be still be available for download until August 5, so make sure to add them to your digital library for free while you still can.
WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 will be available for free on the PlayStation Store from August 6 to September 2. If you haven’t yet checked out either of these titles, why not check out their launch trailers below:
