Psychological Horror Game Luto Has Locked In A Release Date

This is a story about death

Developer Broken Bird Games has announced that its psychological horror title, Luto, will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 22.

During the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, it was revealed that the release of Luto is coming soon, really soon. The debut game from the small Spanish studio Broken Bird Games will have players assume the role of a person trying desperately to leave their home, only to be met with surreal and impossible spaces filled with unnerving threats and a disturbing amount of furniture covered by white sheets.

You can watch the release date trailer for Luto here:

We went hands-on with Luto back in late 2023 when the Choices demo dropped on PS5, and it left us wanting more. In our preview, we said, “Outside of the odd moment where an automatic room spray will go off as you walk past it – which scared me silly – the demo prioritises unnerving tension over cheap scares. I won’t say that it’s devoid of hair-raising moments entirely, but it’s best you don’t know when to expect those.”

For those intrigued by Luto, you can play a short, standalone demo on Steam and PS5 now.
