RGG Studio’s Project Century Has Been Fully Revealed As Stranger Than Heaven

Like a Detective

This year’s big Summer Game Fest 2025 showcase has come and gone, the 2025 edition bringing with it some big announcements and brand-new game reveals across two packed hours of ads for F2P action RPGs and online shooters.

As a sequel treat to its initial tease at The Game Awards 2024, one such announcement was the full title reveal and a meaty trailer for Stranger than Heavenwhich until now was known as Project Century from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio (Like a Dragon).

This long-awaited reveal gave us a sumptuous look into the game’s 1943 Japan setting and detective action gameplay, where we see some classic hallmarks of RGG’s modern output along with some fun-looking investigative twists. Those who’ve been following will probably clock that the first trailer for this game was set in 1915 and features a younger version of the character here, so it seems like this game involves a few time jumps. The neo-noir vibe looks compelling as hell, and I for one cannot wait to see more.

Here’s the trailer:

What do you think of the newly-revealed title for this one? Does the trailer look like it has the RGG sauce? Let us know in the comments below or over on social media!
