After being unceremoniously leaked by Walmart earlier today, SEGA have officially revealed Sonic’s upcoming racing title, Team Sonic Racing.
The short reveal trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, instead opting to show a small cutscene of Sonic and Shadow in their snazzy whips. The end of the trailer indicates that Sumo Digital, developer of 2010’s Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and 2012’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed are returning for Team Sonic Racing, so we have a pretty good idea at how the game is going to play.
No release date for Team Sonic Racing was given, with SEGA opting for a release period of Winter 2018 (Summer for the Aussie folk). The game is slated to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
More information on Team Sonic Racing will be made available at E3. In the meantime, you can watch the official reveal trailer below:
