We’re approaching the end the August, so the next batch of PlayStation Plus games are on the horizon. August was the best month of PS Plus games we’ve had in long while, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and the massively popular Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout being on offer.
Announced over on the PlayStation Blog, we now know that September’s free games will be the banger fighting game Street Fighter V and the ever-popular battle royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. These two titles will be available for download for those who have PS Plus on September 1.
I doubt that you need me to explain what Street Fighter is to you, as the franchise has seemingly been around forever, but in case you didn’t know, it’s one of the longest-running fighting games in the medium. Street Fighter V had a bit of a rocky release (we gave it a 7.5), with a paper-thin story mode and limited content, but in the years since it has become a brilliant package.
Again, PlayerUnkn…PUBG doesn’t really need to be explained as it was instrumental in the popularity of the battle royale genre and still has a huge player base. Dropping onto an island with 99 others, you’ll gather equipment and weapons while fighting other teams as you try to achieve a chicken dinner. If you haven’t played it yet then it’s worth having a crack at, as it’s good fun despite its shortcomings.
If you haven’t downloaded Fall Guys and Call of Duty (or added them to your library) yet, then you’ve got until August 31 to do so before they move on.
Will you be downloading these games? Which out of the two are you most keen on? Let us know.
