Siren’s Rest Is A New Expansion Set Underwater For Horror Game Still Wakes The Deep

Rolling in the deep

Secret Mode and The Chinese Room have announced Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest today, a new paid expansion that will land on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on June 18.

Siren’s Rest is set more than 10 years after the events of the main game and sees you return to the Beira D. This time, you’re part of a specialist dive that is sent to explore the underwater wreckage to try and piece together what happened back in 1975.

It’s a killer premise, and with a new cast of characters and a story written by Helldivers 2‘s Sagar Beroshi, I’m excited to dive into the North Sea. Australian pricing hasn’t been revealed, but the expansion is priced at US$12.99/£9.99/€12.99.

Yours truly reviewed Still Wakes the Deep, scoring it a 7.5. I was blown away by how great the voice acting and writing were, and how immersive the world was, but the gameplay felt a bit repetitive and lacked the spooks I was hoping for. Hopefully Siren’s Rest brings the scare factor.
