Space Marine 2 keeps marching through it’s post-release plans, finally dropping the promised new weapon from the roadmap – delivering the Neo-Volkite pistol to sear and explode enemies in a barrage of super heated sizzle.
Players of the Bulwark, Assault and Vanguard classes can slap the bad boy on right away – because Space Marine 2 has no progression unlocks for it’s co-op component – and get right to work with makin’ the zappin’ happen.
It’s a fantastically fun bit of kit, given that it is a very unique weapon from the Warhammer 40k universe, representing a forgotten bit of technology that has only just returned to the setting. It essentially heats up an enemies body until they combust – or perish from heatstroke or burn wounds, whatever grisly end reaches them first.
So, if you wish to get your fleshy counterparts well above medium-rare, feel free to take the intensely dangerous laser pointer for a spin in Space Marine 2 right away.
