Publisher Devolver Digital and developer All Possible Futures have announced that the action-adventure title The Plucky Squire will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch on September 17.
The headline probably gave this part away, but The Plucky Squire will also be one of the monthly games offered to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members in September, which is a huge get. If you don’t know why this is a huge get, then you should know that The Plucky Squire is an adventure game that focuses on a hero in a storybook named Dot, who sets off to defeat the disgruntled wizard Humgrump. It’s a cute 2D game filled with action and puzzles that’s tipped on its head when the gameplay breaks free of the book and enters the 3D real world.
It’s a creative game from the minds of veteran developers who have previously worked on the Pokémon series, among many others. If you haven’t given The Plucky Squire a look before now, cast you’re eyes over the release date reveal trailer here:
