Support The Bushfire Relief By Rocking Out To Songs From Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater This Weekend

Good tunes for a good cause

Back in October a collective of Melbourne musicians got together and jammed the songs from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater much to the nostalgic delight of those in attendance – with the queue spanning several blocks all night (for both the burgers and the tunes). The good news for those that missed out the last time is that it’s happening again, and this time the gig is being used to raise funds for those affected by the recent and ongoing bushfires.

The gig will take place on January 18 (yes this Saturday) at The Croxton Bandroom (601 High Street, Thornbury) and will cost $20 for pre-sale tickets and $25 for tickets at the door, with all proceeds going to the Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities.

After a successful debut show, the band want to take things to the next level this time around with more bangers, more musicians and more room to rock out. The band will feature members from several well-known Melburnian bands, such as band members from Destrends, Mesa Cosa, Defron, Sugar Teeth, Electric Self, Mangelwurzel, Dick Willoughby & the Dirty Stop Outs & heaps more!

To make the night even more of a good time, Melbourne band Theme Team will be in attendance playing some best TV theme songs in the history of TV theme songs.

But that’s not all folks. Once again players who want to test their chops at Tony Hawk’s iconic skater can make their way to the front bar at 6 pm for the PlayStation competition. Naturally prizes will be for the taking, so bring your A-game.

Get down to The Croxton this weekend and listen to some cracking tunes for a cracking cause.
