Hidetaka ‘SWERY’ Suehiro’s mystery-solving, investigative daily life sim RPG, The Good Life, has been delayed again. The game was originally slated to release somewhere in Q2, 2021 but has since been pushed back to Q3 2021.
In an update on the game’s Kickstarter page, it was revealed that the game will now arrive in the US ‘Fall’ period (Sep 1 – Nov 30) and that it now has a new publisher in PLAYISM. No reason was given for the game’s development studio, White Owls, to be parting ways with The Irregular Corporation, but the update claims the split was mutual and thanks the former publisher for their support.
PLAYISM’s Shunji Mizutani has this to say about the new partnership, “I remember when The Good Life was first announced, at a conference at PAX West way back in September 2017. I was at that conference myself, and ever since that moment I’ve been looking forward to the day the game would finally be released. I am extremely honored to once again receive the opportunity to work together on another “Swery game”. We are going to put every effort into ensuring that players around the globe are able to play the best version of this game possible. We hope you’ll bear with us till it’s ready for release.”
The Good Life will release in Q3, 2021 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
