The Astro Bot Christmas Level Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving

We wish we could live in Astro Bot every day

As if knowing they would be celebrating a big award haul at today’s Game AwardsAstro Bot has dropped a brand new Christmas themed level that’s free to download for all owners of the game. I’m here to tell you, it’s an absolute treat.

The Astro Bot: Winter Wonder update introduces a new Santa themed asteroid that will zip across the map when you load into the game and transform into a new location for you to visit. Inside you’ll find plenty of Christmas treats, from a jolly new costume to wear to a giant Christmas Tree that slowly lights up as you find hidden presents dotted around the snow covered landscape.

Unlike the challenge levels added over recent months, this much more chill (heh) level is simply for the fun of it. Each corner hides a gift or two, discoverable by using the many different abilities available to Astro Bot in new and clever ways. Every time I turned around, another hidden area caught my attention out the corner of my eye.

As for what’s hiding inside the glittering gold presents, you’ll uncover a handful of new bots that will surely put a smile on your face and some other Christmas themed items for some festive cheer. No spoilers, but it certainly got me excited once again to find some awesome new bots, as if Team Asobi kept some of the best references to last.

The Astro Bot: Winter Wonder update is available now so be sure to update your game and hop to it before the wider world of social media spoils some of the lovely gifts inside. Let us know what you think of the update in the comments below and on our socials, and congrats to Astro Bot for the Game of the Year gong!
