If you are still humming with excitement regarding Diablo II: Resurrected, then please hum further – Blizzard has revealed that the Single-player Technical Alpha (on PC) will begin this Saturday, 10 April.
Being a special ‘technical alpha’ means that the doors will not be flung wide open, as only a selection of players who have opted-in will initially be stepping foot in sanctuary. For those fortunate to get an invite, keep your eyes peeled for instructions on how to participate over email in the coming days.
As part of this initial experience, participants will be able to choose from three of the seven classes and be able to play through the entirety of the first two Acts of the game. These classic classes include the Barbarian, the Amazon and the Sorceress – covering your key fantasy archetypes and leaving the juicy technical classes for a later experience.
It’s also worth noting – this particular phase of testing is a purely single-player experience. While teaming up to slam Diablo baddies is a ton of fun, it appears that the first round of tyre kicking will be making sure stuff actually works, before you invite your friends to help try and break it.
