After a leak and a formal reveal, the saga of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered comes to a crescendo with a near-instant release on all major platforms.
That’s right, you can jump right into Oblivion right now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC as well as Game Pass.
Seemingly more of a remake than a remaster, the game is blasting a healthy 4K resolution and 60FPS courtesy of the Unreal Engine 5 glow-up – with new animations, lighting effects and heartily upscaled and sexified models throughout. The game even has updated lip synch technology, so enjoy your Argonian conversations in a whole new way.
The UI has also had a reasonable refresh, mostly to account for modern player expectations. Don’t panic, the things you need are all still there – they have just had a logical shuffle to account for where you’d expect to see them in the year 2025, like having the compass right up top.
Oh, and you can sprint now. Huzzah.
You can get your hands on The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered for $84.95 AUD on your platform of choice, but of course it is on Xbox Game Pass – so if your sub is still pumping, nothing stands between you and Cyrodiil on either PC or Xbox Series X.
