The First Trailer For Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Is Here And It Promises Animatronic Anarchy

Showtime

Blumhouse Productions has released the first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 ahead of the film’s theatrical release on December 5.

While it premiered for those in attendance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the first teaser trailer for the horror sequel has now been released online. At a brisk 48 seconds, this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it clip is more of a mood setter than anything, though it does show off returning characters Mike, played by Josh Hutcherson, and Vanessa, played by Elizabeth Lail.

Careful not to give away any fun kills, we get a brief glimpse at some of the animatronic action and an ominously delivered “showtime” line from returning villain William Afton, once again played by the always entertaining Matthew Lillard.

Give the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 teaser trailer a watch for yourself here:

I’m not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed the first FNAF movie. It’s far from perfect, and some of the dialogue is cheesier than the establishment that inspired Freddy Fazbear Pizza, but it’s a fun ride that acts as a great entry point into the horror genre.
