One of Nintendo’s biggest drawcards for its expanded online subscription, Nintendo Switch Online – Expansion Pack, is the availability of some classic N64 games on Nintendo’s hybrid console platform. While not immune to criticism, the platform holder has continued to stick to its guns and had announced the next line of N64 games to land on the subscription service. These announcements were a part of the September 2022 Nintendo Direct They are as follows, with their associated release windows:
2022
- Pilot Wings 64
- Mario Party
- Mario Party 2
2023
- Mario Party 3
- Pokémon Stadium
- Pokémon Stadium 2
- 1080° Snowboarding
- Excitebike 64
- Goldeneye
You read that right, Excitebike 64 is going to be playable on the Nintendo Switch sometime next year. Oh, I guess Goldeneye is cool too. The future of N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online is looking pretty good, with something for virtually everyone. Personally, I’m keen for the Pokémon Stadium games as I never had a chance to play them growing up.
