Nintendo has revealed quite possibly the sexiest Valentine’s Day treat for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, with the 2001’s excellent GBA entry in a now-dormant franchise, Wario Land 4.
This game is genuinely an underappreciated classic, with heaps of inventive transformations for Wario and the continuation of a general design that would eventually make its way into 2023’s indie darling, Pizza Tower. If you’re subscribed to Nintendo’s more expensive online tier, it’ll be well worth checking out when it arrives on February 14th.
To access the game, subscribers need to download the “Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online” app on their Switch console, and when it comes time for Wario Land 4 to launch it’ll be automatically added to the app with an update.

As a reminder, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers get access to a wealth of retro games from consoles like the NES, SNES and Game Boy, while those who go for the pricier “+ Expansion Pack” tier also get N64, SEGA Mega Drive and Game Boy Advance games.
Other GBA titles already available include Super Mario Advance, Metroid Fusion, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, Mario Kart: Super Circuit and a personal favourite of mine, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
Now if we can just get GameCube games onto the Switch, more people might have the chance to bask in the glory of Wario World.
