Pokémon Sun and Moon Versions Announced

And it launches this year.

After a brief leak which made half of the Internet collectively shit themselves, Nintendo have unveiled the seventh generation of Pokémon with Sun and Moon versions coming this year. As of now, we know nothing about the game except for the nine languages it’ll launch in, a release window of late 2016, its support of the Pokémon Bank service allowing pocket monster transfers from older games and some footage of Japanese men working hard (or hardly working). “We hope that, through Pokemon, players can overcome language barriers and interact with other players from around the world”, said The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara during the Nintendo Direct broadcast a few hours ago, which is probably the most vague PE phrase I’ve heard in a long time. Still, preparations must be made. Make your yearly trip to /vp/, dust off your copies of X/Y or ORAS to brush up on your battling skills, maybe download the 3DS versions of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow that launch very soon to catch up on old memories and wonder why everybody loves that generation so much, whatever you gotta do. In the meantime…I will stay behind to gaze at the sun.
