Based on a Belgian comic book series of the same name and released on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC back in 2003, XIII will forever remain one of the most memorable games of that generation for me. The cel-shaded, comic book-inspired visuals married to slick and creative FPS gameplay made for a compelling and very fresh-feeling shooter.
Fast forward seventeen years and XIII is staging a surprising comeback with a remake that brings the visuals to a wholly modern standard which, until now, we’ve been unable to truly see in action. That’s changed now though with a brand new trailer from publisher Microids and developer PlayMagic and shown as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming event. The trailer also gives us the long-awaited release date, which is November 10 this year! Check out the trailer below:
