The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass comes out in less than a week and to make sure people are up to date on what to expect, a 7-minute trailer has been deployed to get everyone up to speed.
It is a pretty spectacular bit of kit, with a free update bringing a new Ditto copy move to the game in the form of Dive, allowing you to actually exist underwater and therefore letting you craft and landscape.
This is a big change for the game, given that water would forcefully despawn Ditto after a spell – and leads beautifully into the real meat and potatoes of the paid DLC: A brand new underwater town to explore and restore. All kinds of neat new stuff like bioluminescent coral paths, deep-sea trenches, and new floating “buoyant blocks” to build custom structures like Sharpedo submarine bases await those who are willing to drop some cash on expanding their Pokopia experience.
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC Part 1: Bubbly Basin releases on August 6, 2026
Known throughout the interwebs simply as M0D3Rn, Ash is bad at video games. An old guard gamer who suffers from being generally opinionated, it comes as no surprise that he is both brutally loyal and yet, fiercely whimsical about all things electronic. On occasion will make a youtube video that actually gets views.
