PAX Aus 2026’s Special Guests And Panellists Have Been Announced

The list of guests and panellists who will be in attendance at PAX Aus 2026 has been revealed ahead of the convention’s October 9 kick-off date.

The PAX Aus show floor gets a lot of attention during Australia’s gaming and pop culture long weekend, but many descend upon Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre for the always impressive cohort of national and international guests that rock up to take part in Q&As, meet-and-greets, and fireside chats.

This year’s guest list is packed, headed up by wrestler and gaming aficionado Austin Creed. Formerly known as Xavier Woods within the WWE, Creed is a 20-year veteran in the wrestling industry who also happens to love all things gaming. The grappler has been the main man behind gaming YouTube channel UpUpDownDown for some time now, and can often be found hosting, attending, or otherwise participating in all manner of gaming-related events.

Australian gaming icon Mick Gordon will also be making a PAX Aus appearance, sharing his vast creative knowledge he has gained through years of composing music for titles such as DOOM, Wolfenstein, and Prey. Insanely talented, Gordon’s work can be recognised within seconds by those who are familiar with his heavy instrumental tracks.

Another Aussie game dev attending PAX this year is Gregory Louden, creative director at Finnish studio Housemarque. Having recently headed up development on the fantastic Saros, Louden has years of prior experience at Remedy Entertainment and even in the movie industry. Not only did Saros garner a big fat ten in our review, but I got the opportunity to interview Gregory before the game’s release, and I can tell you that his panel will be one to look out for.

The influential Aussies keep coming, as long-time voice of X-Men’s Rogue, Lenore Zann, will also be at PAX Aus 2026. Outside of her extensive voice work, Zann is an accomplished actor and former Canadian politician, so she will have plenty of interesting stories to share. Square Enix’s Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and Toshio ‘Foxclon’ Murouchi will be celebrating all things Final Fantasy XIV during PAX, with the two storied devs sharing a massive backlog of credits on multiple games within the long-running series.

Dropout’s Ify Nwadiwe is back again, having attended PAX Aus for the first time last year. The host of Umm, Actually will return with plenty of anecdotes about working alongside some of the funniest improv comedians around, as well as stories from his experience writing for video games like Apex Legends and Borderlands 4.

John Robertson’s The Dark Room will be back again, bringing all sorts of chaos with it, while Chaosium’s Art Director, Paul Tobin, will be packing all kinds of tabletop creativity with him. The folks at Good Game Morley are back again to strengthen the tabletop contingent, with fantasy author Isobelle Carmody and content creator Jasmine Bhullar, better known as ThatBronzeGirl, rounding out the stacked line-up of guests.

This class of guests supports this year’s Storytime speaker, Holly Longdale, the Executive Producer of World of Warcraft. Together with Holly, this year’s PAX is absolutely brimming with exciting talent to listen to and meet, so I’d be eyeing off a badge if you haven’t already.

PAX Aus will take place between October 9-11 at the Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre. Badges are on sale now, with the three-day badges already sold out, so get in quick.
