Horror Game Lunacy: Saint Rhodes Has Been Delayed

It would be lunacy to launch alongside Cyberpunk 2077

Lazarus Studio yesterday announced that their horror game Lunacy: Saint Rhodes would not meet its 2020 release and instead would release “when it’s done”.

In a statement posted on Steam, the studio admitted that the current state of the game does not meet their expectations and the extra time will allow them to refine several aspects of the game such as monster design, story, lighting, and shaders.

While the delay was likely given there had been no mention of a release date for several months, it is a little disappointing as I picked Lunacy: Saint Rhodes as an indie to watch in 2020. I guess it’ll just have to wait until 2021 now.

If you’re wondering what exactly Lunacy: Saint Rhodes is, below is the Steam synopsis:

“Lunacy: Saint Rhodes is a first-person survival horror game in which you seek the truth behind your family’s horrific murder. Investigate the history behind your ancestral home and the town of Saint Rhodes, while fighting to survive what haunts it. Uncover your family’s troubled past as you descend further and further into insanity.”
