Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta Now Open

Sony’s golden boy invites you to join him on his killing spree in the multiplayer beta

Players can now have their first taste of Sony and Naughty Dog’s hotly anticipated PS4 exclusive, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, with the game’s multiplayer mode now playable during its beta.

To participate in the beta you must have purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Sony have given some details on what players will experience in the beta:

The action packed five-on-five deathmatch sees teams work together to take on the opposition as one of their favourite characters, including Nathan Drake, Elena, Sully and Cutter.

The fast-paced gameplay truly benefits from capabilities of the PlayStation®4. For the first time on multiplayer, users can perform one of Nathan Drake’s signature moves and swing over drops and across crevices using rope grappling hooks.

Adding a new dimension to multiplayer, players can use supernatural power-ups to help take on the enemy, including:

  • The supernatural “Djinn Mystical” power; a powerful addition to any character’s arsenal, bringing explosive, fiery attacks to game play;
  • The “Cintamani Stone Mystical”, which revives teammates and your own character quickly, taking them from a downed state back to combat-ready.

Not only do players have the chance to call on their teammates they can also call on new sidekicks. As the name suggests, sidekicks can help destroy the other team, including the Brute, the Savior, and the Marksman, each with their own game-altering elements.

Using the share button on the DualShock®4 controller, users can share their gameplay via the PlayStation®Network and their own social channels.
