As part of the Tokyo Game Show, ol’ mate Randy Pitchford took to the stage to talk all things Borderlands 4, but most importantly, to light the wick on the hype-bomb that is post launch Vault Hunters for the game.
I’d say it was worth the wait, but it has barely been a few weeks – but Randy clearly wanted to get it out there, and for good reason. The first DLC Vault Hunter looks amazing.

From the presentation and online materials, C4SH’s motivation and action skill sound like a hoot:
A former casino dealer bot, C4SH is now a drifter who chases the probability-breaking highs of cursed eldritch artifacts. As luck would have it, Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned is full of cosmic horrors that harbor uncanny curios, some of which can surely bend the odds in C4SH’s favor.
His design fits the bill perfectly, considering that the deck-dealing thing-a-majig is built right into his forearm:

Don’t get too excited though, this probability altering artefact collector isn’t due to hit the planet Kairos until 2026 – so if rolling the bones is your thing, might want to keep them in your pocket for now.
But for now, you can read a few more details about C4SH and join the speculation frenzy:
- C4SH’s Action Skills are distinctly unpredictable, as they all involve an element of chance.
- C4SH’s risk-reward playstyle can lead to good fortunes like buffing himself and allies, dealing devastating damage, sapping the strength from foes, and more.
Hope you like praying to RNGesus, because this guy is truly a wildcard. Just like Claptrap (CL4P-TP) in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel it sounds like he will be fishing for the best buffs every time he hits that Active Ability.
I hope he makes that signature poker machine noise when he gets something good.
